Ever Easter has brought something new and unexpected and joyful. The girls still want Easter baskets, and y'all know our tradition since they were babies has been a basket filled with little candy, lots of toys, and a pair of chucks. I recognize this is a trauma response to wearing super tight and uncomfortable Easter shoes with itchy tights that we were not allowed to scratch or pull or remove. They can run around, comfortably! And who doesn't love a cute dress with sneakers?
We finally went to a service at a church we have been wanting to visit and the sermon was powerful.
On a whim, we checked for tickets, and scored great seats at a women's game. Albany is about an hour away, and a quick drive through beautiful forests. The girls had not been to a stadium like this in a long time.
