A round up of fun

Y'all, I am trying to catch up on blogposts. So close! Is it wrong to group several things into one? No? I didn't think so either! Let's see if I can remember what we were doing in these pictures ;-)  We love a good sleepover! Some of Cass' friends from school came over. We made cookies and Matt took no mercy in a fierce game of jenga.  I'm not sure what YeVonne and I were doing, but we were cute! I'm sure it was a meeting where we were talking about ways to serve students, I just cannot tell you which one.  Savvy was reading something somewhere....Oh, I think this was a doctor's app! Yup. She had strep. She sure does look happy for someone who was crying and miserable not 10 minutes before. MMhmm, it's all coming back.... I LOVE any opportunity to hang with my Goddaughter Salma! Team Smith Weekend! #BlackGirlMagic

Team Smith Weekend was on point!  Thank you a thousand times over to everyone who made it for part or all. And thanks to those who wished us well from afar :-)  We were not kidding when we said we had been planning this for 4 years! It's been a huge motivator for me in pushing through school. Being able to celebrate and reconnect with folks was a heart-filled opportunity to also say thank you for your support and love and encouragement. I had no clue I would have the honor of speaking at Black Graduation with friend Dr. Valle! Looking around at all of us graduates, I got a little teary, thinking that it wasn't too long ago none of us would have been allowed to even step foot on campus, much less take classes and earn a degree.  Friday night was magical.
