We headed up the mountain to Virginia City to catch the parade on Veteran's Day. We foolishly thought it would be a smaller celebration than the one in downtown Reno. VC throws a good holiday bash! I have said it before, and I still stand my opinion. I don't support war (unless preventing a genocide), but I do support our troops and the people who serve our country. Every branch was represented in the parade. Which was nice, because sometimes the coastguard gets left out. The girls did get a fright when the guns started. There was one entry in particular that gave me pause as well, I couldn't tell you what kind of weapon it was. I can only tell you it was old, it was loud, it was large, and it was handled by someone who I believe had a pre parade tipple of something strong! Those things combined make one nervous mama. Other than that, it was a wonderful way to say thank you and honor our service peeps.
Cassidy loves to dance. So far, any type of music gets her going! In this video we were cleaning the kitchen when she decided to break out. When she saw the camera she started saying cheese because she thought it was a real camera. I hope you can see it!
