This was Savvy's first Easter. I remember being a little girl and the years we could afford to, my mom would buy me patent leather shoes. Totally adorable, utterly uncomfortable! I'm continuing a tradition of Easter dresses and shoes, but it's matching chucks over here!
We went to service- awesome as usual. The church we go to in the city really feels like home! The homily is thoughtful, relevant, often humorous and always filling. It is a blessing to be a part of something that practices traditions that are hundreds of years old while simultaneously embracing social justice and the "dignity of all people" no matter their sex, ethnicity, age, sexual preference, or whatever other characteristic or human trait we try to divide ourselves over.
Matt has been playing his clarinet and singing! Cass likes to run up to him and shout, "Good job Daddy!". Pretty cute.
We went over Aunt Rene's house for dinner- incredible food and fellowship! A wonderful day had by all :-)
