Team Smith

It has been a hectic fun filled 5 weeks since our last post! I will continue to encourage Matt to post as I think 1. He should share in the responsibility of keep y'all updated! and 2. His insights are quite witty :) So I have no clue where to begin. I think the easiest thing to do is to just start writing and let's see where that leads us, shall we? Cassidy LOVES to eat. She may look like her daddy but she is her momma's child! Usually on the weekends we stroll through Whole Foods where she charms the folks working into feeding her tidbits of bananas, watermelon, kiwi, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, breads,tortillas...we have two meals before we leave :) And we stock up on fresh veggies and fruits that we cook, blend, and freeze for the week for her food. Usually I like to mix in whatever organic baby food is on sale. She is lovin the Yo-Baby yogurts! This week we're going to try fish with her too. She loves avocados, homemade cornbread, and whatever I may let ...

The first time we put Cass in this, she flipped out! Now she likes it. :) Unfortunately the only door that works with it is the closet door! So she bounces around usually while I fold laundry or catch up on the computer. Hopefully the place we move to in May will have some more options!

Glad I got the Thanksgiving photos up before Christmas! We returned from Monterey, CA and headed to Aunt Kitty's House in Carson/Douglas. Along the way we grabbed Peter from the airport :)

Who knew Cassie would love Santa?! I took her to the Lake Mansion House yesterday. It's this gorgeous 2 story home from the late 1800s that is downtown. It's Victorian in architecture and design. They do a lot of artsy events there. Yesterday Santa was entertaining in the Parlor Room near the fireplace and there were cute craft projects going on. Then we went shopping at Target!

So I just uploaded a ton of photos to Facebook and did not feel the need to replicate them here. Instead, we'll just use this handydandy link and you can see them all! It was an adventurous road trip that led us to visit cousin Maria in Berekely and friend Alicia in Roseville. We went to the Monterey Aquarium, the Steinbeck Musuem, a farmers market, and some other random stops including CSU Monterey and Salinas.

Cassie and I go on walks through campus. In the beginning of October as the leaves began to change and fall, I placed her on the ground and she had a great time playing with the leaves! It was perfect. There was a breeze and leaves were swirling around her and falling just so. I couldn't get her to really look up at me! Except for when she wanted to take the camera out of my hand :)
