In the Episcopal faith, everyone is welcome to the communion table to partake in the Eucharistic feast. Matter none if you are Episcopal or not. So we do not have a 1st Communion ceremony. Instead, we have a Communion Celebration. It's similar to the Catholic tradition, but different. It's a 6 week class where the kids learn more about why we do some of the things we do. At least one parent or family member attends the class with the kid and then there is a celebration when the class is done. Trinity has not had one in years...if ever. We were delighted that some friends could join us to celebrate this milestone in Cassidy's faith walk. And the brunch before was delicious per usual ;-)
The escapades of Savannah Joy and her big sister Cassidy Grace are the primary reason for this blog's existence. However, I also throw in random thoughts, photographs, adventures and other tidbits to keep it interesting :-)
