Palm Sunday and the National Auto Museum

Trinity Episcopal church has a Palm Sunday tradition of joining with the Methodist and Lutheran churches that are within walking distance, meeting at the park, bringing in Poncho the donkey, and having a quick joint service before processing back to our individual churches. It is quite the event! This year I didn't see the Lutheran church, causing me to think maybe I invented that? Anyway, the part that is pertinent to the ceremony for me is when they read, "On this day he entered the holy city of Jerusalem in triumph, and was proclaimed as King of kings by those who spread their garments and branches of palm along the way. Let these branches be for us signs of his victory, and grant that we who bear them in his name may ever hail him as our King, and follow him in the way that leads to eternal life." Hiking: Huffaker Trails

There are some beautiful trails 5 minutes down the street from us! You turn the corner behind Spicy Pickle, drive up and over the mini mountain, and boom! Views and wild horses all around. And reservoirs and random bodies of water. Felt like we left Reno! This was about two or three weeks ago. And there was a bit of off-roading involved. We followed the road till it let out in Hidden Valley somewhere.

MLKJ weekend was beautiful Reno weather! We are still discovering that trails are all over our community; a good number of them less than a 30 minute drive away from our house.
