Last weekend was beautiful! Somehow between being sick, doing homework and grading, and cleaning the house, we found time to stroll down to Great Basin Community Food CoOp for their seedling sale! The girls played with baby goats and chicks while we were there. We purchased purple basil, rosemary, and sunflowers! The sunflowers were only $0.25each. Perfect for our budget! Once home, we scoured the house for empty containers, paint and stickers. The boxes we found are cardboard, so we'll re-plant those flowers next month when our budget permits us to get a few better containers. These temporary fixes will be just fine for now :-) We tried to hit up the Garden Shoppe on Moana for some starter soil, but they were out of small bags and the large bags were pretty pricey. Wal Mart (I know...I know. But we went there anyway!) had the perfect sized bag of organic soil for $2! Done. The girls had fun painting and potting and watering their sunflowers. Can't w...
