Team Smith

In the past week, Cassidy has been quite busy. Cassidy turned 2 months old. She rolls side to side and has started smiling! We haven't been able to capture her toothless grin on camera yet, but we're working on it. My best friend Ellie came to visit for the weekend. We headed down to Aunt Kitty's home for some R&R. Some friends of ours stopped by too. Allison and Ray are former student staffers of mine. Cassidy slept through most of the visit, and upon waking immediately started headbutting mom for food! And finally, Matt had some quality time with Cassidy...    

Cassidy's first big trip was certainly an adventure! She was model perfect on the plane, with stops in Salt Lake City and Chicago before arriving in Detroit. Cassidy was a rock star! The flight attendants gave her a certificate and a pair of wings. Her one complaint was upon arrival, when the plane stopped and the engines cut off, so did the air. And the humidity hit. Oh boy...Cassidy did not appreciate humidity! Eventually she calmed and we headed to Matt's parent's home for a few days. Cassidy met her great grandparents, a couple great aunts, and lots of friends.  After a few days, we drove 4 hours to Rittman, Ohio for the wedding of Lindsey and Nate Milan. Then we drove back to Detroit for a few more days before heading home.
